The Residential Colleges

Northwestern has ten unique Residential Colleges as well as 4 Areas for Housing. Housing areas will host their own events that are tailored to and include all residents of that area, including non-residential college dorms. The full list of Residential Colleges are as follows:

      • Chapin – Humanities Residential College at Chapin Hall
      • CRC – Communications Residential College at East Fairchild
      • ISRC – International Studies Residential College at West Fairchild
      • PARC – Public Affairs Residential College at North Mid-Quads
      • Shepard Residential College at South Mid-Quads
      • Slivka – Residential College of Science and Engineering at Slivka Hall
      • Willard Residential College
      • Hobart – Women’s Residential College at Hobart House

Northeast Area

2303 Sheridan Rd.

2303 Sheridan Rd. is home to the Residential College of Cultural & Community Studies, colloquially known as CCS. While the locations are listed as the same online, CCS is not a part of Green House.

 

Ayers Hall

Ayers Hall is home to the Residential College of Commerce and Industry, colloquially known as Ayers or CCI.

 

Slivka Hall

Slivka Hall is home to the Slivka Residential College of Science and Engineering

 

East Fairchild

East Fairchild is home to the Communications Residential College, colloquially known as CRC.

 

Hobart House

Hobart House is home to the Women’s Residential College, colloquially known as Hobart.

 

West Fairchild

West Fairchild is home to the International Studies Residential College, colloquially known as ISRC.

 

South Area

South Mid-Quads is home to Shepard Residential College, colloquially known as SRC, SMQ, or Shepard. While it may be referred to as “Shepard,” there is a Shepard Hall located in the South Area which SRC is no longer affiliated with.

 

Willard Hall

Willard Hall is home to Willard Residential College, colloquially known as Willard.
