Evan Weitzman

↳ President

The president manages the executive board and runs the weekly executive board and full board meetings. The president is a trained SOFO officer and coordinates the long-term planning (while representing) all ten residential colleges at the university level.

Evan (he/his) is a second-year from Detroit, Michigan, studying integrated science, chemical engineering, and biology. His residential college affiliation is with PARC. 

“I originally wanted to serve on PARC’s exec board as a way to give back to the community that had given me so much. I found it so extremely rewarding that when it was time to pass the torch for PARC’s leadership, I decided I wanted to continue serving my community but this time on a different scale.”

Alan Shu

↳ Vice President of Financial Affairs

The VP of Financial Affairs is the treasurer of RCB. They advise and coordinate the residential college treasurers in order to facilitate idea exchange and provide support for any financial issues that residential colleges may encounter. They prepare a quarterly budget, maintain the RCB SOFO account, and plan RCB formal with the VP of Social Affairs.
 
Alan is a second-year student from Riverside, Connecticut, studying math, economics, history, and managerial analytics. His residential college affiliation is with CRC.
 

My favorite part of residential colleges is the social events that are hosted. It offered a way for me to meet people I wouldn’t meet and helped me make friends in freshmen year.”

Mandy Bu

↳ Vice President of Academic Affairs

The Vice President of Academic Affairs coordinates all Board-sponsored academic events to foster intellectual development in the Residential Colleges. In the absence of the President, the Vice President of Academic Affairs shall assume the President’s duties.

Mandy is a second-year from Chicago, Illinois, studying Biology. Her residential college affiliation is with PARC.

“My favorite part of the residential colleges is the strong sense of community they create. They really bring together people with different interests and backgrounds through shared events, traditions, and spaces that feel like home. I saw joining the board as a way to give back to this community and help shape the intellectual and social experiences that make the residential colleges so special. I’m really excited to support events that encourage curiosity, creativity, and collaboration among students.”

Sophia Buen Santos

↳ Vice President of Social Affairs

The VP of Social Affairs is one of the core event planners on RCB. They advise and coordinate the social chairs of all of the residential colleges in order to encourage idea exchange and inter-college programming. They are responsible for planning RCB’s social which have included Salsa dancing, RCB Hide and Go Seek, and trips to Chicago. Their largest project is RCB Formal, which is held in the fall.

Sophia (she/her) is a second-year from Chicago, Illinois, studying neuroscience, psychology, and chemistry. Her residential college affiliation is with Chapin.

I am very excited to plan fun outings and gatherings for RCB, and my favorite part has been getting to meet new people and hearing about their ideas for events, especially the presidents of the residential colleges.”

Isaiah Tatum

↳ Vice President of Philanthropy

The VP of Philanthropy coordinates and advises the philanthropy chairs of each residential college in order to facilitate the exchange of ideas and inter-college philanthropic events. They are responsible for planning RCB philanthropy events such as toy drives, volunteering at the Shedd, and making survival kits for homeless shelters.
 
Isaiah (he/his) is a second-year from Houston, Texas, studying data science. His residential college affiliation is with PARC.
 
I wanted to join the executive board because I wanted to play a part in building student experiences and events across campus!”

Greta Cunningham

↳ Vice President of Public Relations

The VP of Public Relations is responsible for taking minutes and maintaining the RCB website, Archives, ListServs, and other social media accounts such as Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. They publicize and promote all of RCB’s events and hold the annual RCB Website Competition.

Greta (she/her) is a second-year from St. Paul, Minnesota, studying journalism, creative writing, and integrated marketing and communications. Her residential college affiliation is with Willard.

“I am so grateful for all the friendships I have formed through residential colleges and the opportunity to continue contributing to the RCB system. As VP of PR, I hope to continue fostering the connection and community that brings residents together within and across colleges.”

Cameron Lara

↳ Vice President of Inter-College Relations

The Vice President of Inter-College Relations is responsible for developing inter-college interaction through events and programs; in particular, through planning, coordinating, and executing RCB Field Day (occurring in Spring quarter), aiding in registration of Residential College teams in the IM co-recreational league, or other forms of friendly competition. 

Cameron (he/his) is a second-year from Corona, California, studying psychology and biology. His residential college affiliation is with Chapin.

“My favorite part of being in a res college was the incredible community of close friends and faculty. I wanted to join RCB Exec to foster the same kind of close connections across RCB that I had the opportunity to form during my time on my res college’s exec board!”
